Onyanko Club members Akiko Ikuina, Shizuka Kudo and Makiko Saito left the fold to form the very successful Ushirogami Hikaretai in 1987. Ushirogami had the advantage over the other idol groups in that the members were all established and well known to every respectable miha out there due to their association with the Onyanko Club. They quickly built their own loyal following with hits such as "Anata o Shiritai", and "Ne! Haru ga Kita". UH split up in 1988 and the girls went their separate ways. Shizuka later went on to become one of the most popular idols in Japanese pop music history.
