Tamura Eriko

Eriko's introduction to the idol scene was revolutionary. She was first presented in anime form, then the real Eriko was brought out a few months later. Certainly an unusual experiment in idol marketing.

Eriko arrived at about the same time as Rie Miyazawa and Chisato Moritaka and the media proceeded to lump them in the same dance category and as rivals, although the girls themselves seemed unaware of this and just went their own merry ways. Eriko proved to be quite a popular Calendar and pin-up girl. And she could sing too!
