Ribbon

Ribbon are Aiko Sato, Hiromi Nagasaku and Arimi Matsuno. At a time of the resurgence of idolarity (after the brief rule of "Idol Rock"), Ribbon came into the scene with hot competition from rival groups Coco, Cotton and Qlair to name a few (they were far from a threat to the almighty Wink). Scoring a hit with "Deep Breath", Ribbon secured a loyal following with subsequent singles such as "'S'ensational Wind" and "Do You Remember Me". The highlight of their concerts was the unusual choice for an encore - Deep Purple's heavy metal anthem "Smoke on the Water"!!
