Onishi Yuka
Although Yuka was already an established rising young actress, she was rocketed into fame when she was discovered by the creator of the "Sukeban Deka" TV series and was cast into the role of razor-sharp metal orizuru-throwing Yuka, Yuma Nakamura and Yui Asaka's older sister in Sukeban Deka III Kazama (rumor has it that Yuka was picked because of her enchanting eyes). She had a few modest hits including "Take a Chance" and "Shadow Hunter" during this time which were tied into the show (great songs by the way, get 'em now or die!). She has appeared in many TV shows and even occasionally works as a voice actress in animation. Her popularity was enough to establish a shop in Takeshita street in Harajuku called "Yucchi's", which was her nickname.
She worked mainly on TV shows and has since retired from in
front of the cameras, although she continues to work behind the
scenes. Yuka has since released at least 2 photo books. And she
still has that enchanting smile.
