Lemon Angel are Shima Erika, Sakurai Tomo and Emoto Miki. They were the living embodiment of the anime trio, whose adventures mirrored the real Lemon Angel - the quest to become famous idols. Like their anime counterparts, the real Lemon Angel released some mildly successful albums and singles. A similar angle was done with Tamura Eriko, who debuted as an anime character before the real one was revealed.
