Cotton

Cotton is comprised of contestants from "Miss Momoco Club" beauty (and talent - you had to be able to sing) contests and other beauty pageants. Cotton are Okada Yuki (3rd Place - Miss Momoco Club Grand Prix 1990), Fukuda Hiroko (3rd Place - Miss Momoco Club, Nippon Columbia 1990; 4th Place - Nippon Bishoujo Contest 1990) and Taniuchi Tomomi (3rd Place - Miss Momoco Club Seiyoushou). Another trio born after the wave of "idol rock" bands (ie. Princess Princess) and the resurgence of more contemporary idol groups, Cotton found themselves in direct competition with the likes of Ribbon, Coco and Qlair among others. But they did have a minor hit with "Virgin Wolf ni Ki o Tsukete." Yuki departed in 1991 and was replaced by Gotzuka Saori, who was 1st Place "Miss Momoco Club" of 1991.
