If Ribbon, Qlair and Cotton could make it big with three members, think of the success we could have with FIVE members! I mean, Onyanko Club had more than a dozen! Well, the gamble paid off,and the boys fell for it. Coco debuted with the catchy tune "Equal Romance" and found themselves on the charts almost regularly. Coco even had a couple of their songs ("Equal Romance" and "Omoide ga Ippai") as theme songs for the very popular anime series Ranma 1/2.

Coco are Mikiyo Ohno, Azusa Senou, Erika Haneda, Reiko Miura and Maki Miyamae. Just like the Beatles, everyone had their favourite Coco. About a year after their debut, Azusa left to go solo while the other 4 trudged along just fine. Reiko and Maki also released solo works but chose to remain in the group.

In a historic performance, Coco joined up with Ribbon, Qlair and a few solo idols for the "Otomejuku" Concert. The highlight was when all of them joined onstage for a rousing version of the Candies classic "Shochuu Omimai Moushiagemasu."
